2021.09.20 06:38 Reilly_Reese Can we lose the dystopian matchmaking bans for quitting absolutely stupid matches?
It's so incredibly obnoxious to quit one match and have to wait 20 minutes. Why should I be obligated to put up with the bumbling fools I've been stuck with as teammates? The same fools that drive every single vehicle on the map directly into the face of an enemy tank camping a corner? It's ridiculous and archaic. Nobody is getting penalized except the person who's already victimized by the joke of a matchmaking system.

2021.09.20 06:38 unashamed_desire Am I making a mistake with Breville Infuser + Bodum Bistro?
I'm looking to upgrade my wife's machine for her birthday. She has had a Delonghi e702 + Bodum Bistro grinder as her entry-level setup for a few years and recently has found herself avoiding making espresso at home because she says the Delonghi doesn't pull good shots anymore. I'm not the espresso expert of the house, and I'm trying to do this as a surprise so I can't really ask her questions, but I don't want to mess up.
Here's what I know... she has tried adjusting all the variables (weight, time, grind, etc.) and can't get consistent, let alone good, shots. She is convinced the machine doesn't produce enough pressure to push through properly tamped grounds. I guess it's because she sees the shot coming through too slowly. She'll then not tamp as hard or not use as much grounds, but then it's just a weak shot? I don't know. Overall, she's thinks it's just a basic machine not capable of producing the quality she wants.
After some research, I think the Breville Infuser would be a good next step. My main question is about the grinder she already has though -- the Bodum Bistro. After lurking on this sub, I'm realizing the grinder is really where it's at. She hasn't had a problem with the Bodum, but is it going to be a bottleneck for the Infuser? Obviously there are better grinders, but I can't drop $$$ on both machine and grinder upgrades right now. OR does it actually make more sense to upgrade the grinder and keep the Delonghi?
I'm open to other recs as well. Sorry if I said anything dumb and thanks in advance, coffee gurus ☕

2021.09.20 06:38 throwaway613546 10th Grade LORs
School in India has been online since the start of my junior year, and I don't see my school opening before the ED deadline. As such, my relationship with my junior and senior year teachers is virtually non-existent. Is it okay if I get LORs from my 10th grade teachers? Is there somewhere I can explain this on the common app?
